CHESS

Purpose: To Play and promote chess in Sun City Center.

Membership: All members of the SCC Community Association are invited. Presently have 18 members.

Meetings: The Club meets every Wednesday afternoon in the Game Room (across the foyer from the indoor Swimming Pool). The Club welcomes and encourages players of every degree of skill to come to enjoy a game or two on a Wednesday afternoon. It is surprising how rapidly a player's skill improves through Club play. We also have occasional tournaments with other clubs to test our skill.

Scrabble Club

The SCC Scrabble Club meets on Wednesdays in the Heritage Room from 6 to 9 p.m. Three games are played each night. Players bring their own boards (if they have one) and their own reference book (The Official Scrabble Players Dictionary, 4th Edition). The club provides two-, three-, and four-letter quick reference sheets. Play is casual; signup is not required. For information, contact Joan Juczak at 633-2755 or Rose Herriman at 633-8092.

TABLE TENNIS

Purpose: Friendly competition, fellowship and good exercise while having fun playing table tennis.

The club furnishes the tables, balls and has some paddles available. Prospective members are encouraged to come, play and meet our members.
